boston marathon 2010 results-The Boston Marathon, which is the oldest and one of the largest marathons ever held. It is basically running race which is over 26 miles and 385 yards and those who reach first will be the winner among more than 20,000 participants.  It Covers more than 25,000 in areas and has to run a distance of 26 miles and 385 yards.

The winners in men’s and women’s race will each get $150,000 as the price money, which is sponsored 25 years ago by John Hancock.


More than 32,000 rooms have been booked for Boston Marathon 2010 or 114th Boston Marathon which will be conducted on 19th April 2010.  The Race includes categories for seventeen age groups which is hand cycle, wheel chair, open and Masters. The Mission of the Boston Marathon is to promote and encourage fitness through athletics and to encourage all qualified runners to aid in these efforts.

The qualifiers for the 114th Boston Marathon must meet the designated time standard that corresponds to their age group. The athletes are 18 years or older on April 19, 2010. The time (which are generally more than 3 hr) for the qualifying run varies according to age group as well as gender.  And the proof of qualification is submitted to the respective authorities.

And a change in this 2010 Boston Marathon is that it will include a separate start for top female competitors. And the Elite Women’s start (EWS) will begin prior to 10 am.  And the videos of the 2010 are telecasted live by the media’s and the media’s are expected to spend over $10 million.

And the time for each category to complete the race will be as following:-

Push Rim Wheelchair Start: 9:17 a.m.
Elite Women Start: 9:32 a.m.
Elite Men & Wave 1 Start: 10:00 a.m.
Wave 2 Start: 10:30 a.m.
